Congratulations to the University of Pittsburgh Prosthetics and Orthotics program on their successful Professional Pledge Ceremony this past Saturday!

Congratulations to the University of Pittsburgh Prosthetics and Orthotics program on their successful Professional Pledge Ceremony this past Saturday!

In the presence of colleagues, mentors, family, and friends, the MSPO students pledged to use their knowledge and skills to benefit society through the provision of orthotic and prosthetic care.

AOPA Manager of Public Engagement, Nicole Ver Kuilen, joined them to deliver an inspiring speech on advocacy as they enter the profession. Thanks to the leadership of Helen Cochrane, MSc, CPO, Program Director and Assistant Professor, a number of UPitt students attended the #AOPAPolicyForum in May, beginning their advocacy journey.

Special thanks to Alex Simmons, MSPO student and VP of the Student Organization who made this invitation to speak possible.

Please join us in giving a warm #WeAreOAndP welcome and share your best wishes and advice as these students begins their internships and soon residencies!
