Town of Dayton issued the following announcement on Oct. 15
The next Dayton Main Street interest meeting will be on October 28, at 6:15 pm at Town Hall in the council chambers. We will be discussing a mission and vision statement, and the organizational set-up of the group. Please RSVP to Meggie Roche at mroche@daytonva.us if you plan on attending. Business owners, residents, and all community members with an interest in community revitilization are invited to attend!
What is a Main Street Organization?
Main Street Organizations strive to welcome, promote, and connect neighbors, artists, investors, businesses, and nonprofits to build and support a vibrant historic downtown which increases economic activity and community pride.
The Main Street Approach is centered around transformation strategies. A transformation strategy articulates a focused, deliberate path to revitalizing or strengthening a downtown or commercial district’s economy. These strategies are tied into the four points of Main Street: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization.
