The City of Alexandria's Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA), in collaboration with the Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), has announced the opening of a new indoor aquatics facility. The facility, which opened on August 19, is situated at Alexandria City High School's Minnie Howard Campus on West Braddock Road.

This year-round aquatic center aims to address the community's increasing needs and support ACPS programs for swimming and athletics. It includes a 25-yard competition pool, diving boards, and a training pool maintained at a warmer temperature for comfort. The facility offers space for swimming lessons, fitness programs, and recreational activities.
