Alexandria police investigate fatal Wythe Street shooting

A man injured in a shooting near the 1300 block of Wythe Street in Alexandria, Virginia, has died from his injuries. The victim has been identified as Kwakia Frazier, a 25-year-old resident of the city. The incident took place on the evening of September 19, 2024.

Police responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 8:14 p.m., discovering two men with injuries at the scene. A second victim, a 46-year-old male also from Alexandria, is currently in stable condition. Additionally, a third individual involved in the incident was identified as a 15-year-old male who received medical attention for a bullet graze at the location.

The Alexandria Police Department continues its investigation by canvassing the neighborhood and interviewing potential witnesses. Authorities are seeking any information that might assist their efforts.
