Alexandria Fire Department investigates commercial building fire

On Sunday, November 17, at 10:57 p.m., the Alexandria Fire Department responded to a fire at a commercial building located at 103 South Saint Asaph Street. An investigation into the origin and cause of the fire was initiated by the department. The building houses multiple business and mercantile tenants. It was determined that the fire originated on the first floor. The case remains open as further investigation and review of information are pending, but it is currently being treated as accidental in nature.
