The City of Alexandria is set to host its popular event, "Tons of Trucks," on Saturday, September 21. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Chinquapin Park, located at 3210 King St., and will proceed regardless of weather conditions.

Participants of all ages are encouraged to explore and experience various City vehicles firsthand. Attendees can meet the staff responsible for building, maintaining, serving, and protecting the community while learning about the vehicles they use. Additional activities include an art project with the City's Mobile Art Lab, giveaways, photo opportunities, and food truck vendors.

Visitors are encouraged to utilize free DASH Bus transportation or Capital Bikeshare services to reach the event. Onsite valet services will be available for those arriving with bikes, scooters, or strollers. More information on alternative transit options can be found at alexandriava.gov/GOAlex.

For those driving to the event, parking is available at Alexandria City High School (3330 King St.), First Baptist Church (2932 King St.), and Oakland Baptist Church (3408 King St.).

In celebration of the City's 275th anniversary, admission this year is free. Additionally, a "sensory-friendly hour" will be offered during the first hour of the event from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
