The City of Alexandria is organizing an Emergency Preparedness Fair as part of National Preparedness Month. The event aims to ensure that the community is ready for emergencies and will take place on Friday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Market Square, located at 301 King St.
This fair is open to the public at no cost. Participants will have the opportunity to gather information from various city departments and community partners including the Office of Emergency Management, Alexandria Health Department, Alexandria Fire Department, Alexandria Police Department, and the Department of Emergency & Customer Communications.
"Preparing for, responding to, and recovering from an emergency is a community effort," emphasizes the city's message. "Working together ensures that our Alexandria community is stronger and more resilient."
