The City of Alexandria's Traffic & Parking Board is set to review proposed safety enhancements for three major corridors during a public hearing on July 22. The corridors in question are South Pickett Street, Eisenhower Avenue, and Holland Lane.

The city has conducted a thorough assessment of current conditions, traffic patterns, and community input for each corridor. Design options were developed based on this analysis, followed by additional community feedback. These recommendations align with the Alexandria Mobility Plan and Vision Zero Action Plan to enhance travel safety along these routes.

The proposed improvements aim to address concerns about road safety and traffic congestion. Key measures include reducing speeds, improving visibility, creating dedicated crossings and spaces for pedestrians and cyclists, and minimizing risks for all road users while ensuring minimal delays for drivers.

Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the projects: South Pickett Street Corridor Improvements, Eisenhower Avenue Transportation Study, and Holland Lane Corridor Improvements.
