The City of Alexandria is making strides in providing comprehensive sexual education to its youth through the Children & Youth Community Plan 2025 (CYCP). This initiative aims to coordinate services for children from birth to 21 years old and their families, focusing on physical safety, academic success, and positive experiences.

The CYCP Report Card highlights progress in delivering accurate sexual health information and access to reproductive health care. The Alexandria Campaign on Adolescent Pregnancy (ACAP) and other collaborators are working to ensure young people receive culturally appropriate information at age-appropriate levels.

The Unified Implementation Team, including the Department of Community and Human Services CYCP Coordinator, Alexandria City Public Schools, and the Alexandria Health Department, aligns strategic plans based on trauma-informed approaches, racial equity, and developmental assets.

Residents can explore available resources in the new Youth and Family Resource Guide offered in multiple languages. For further assistance or disability accommodations, contact details are provided by the city.
