The Alexandria West Planning initiative has opened an online comment period for its draft plan, available until August 1. The draft was presented to the community on June 25 at Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School. A recording of this presentation, along with open house content boards, fact sheets, and the draft plan itself, can be accessed on the project's webpage.

Community members are encouraged to share their feedback through various means. Online public comment forms are available in multiple languages including English, Spanish, Amharic, Arabic, Dari, and Pashto on the project website at alexandriava.gov/AlexandriaWest. Feedback can also be submitted via email or phone to Christian Brandt, Urban Planner.

Updates regarding the plan will be disseminated through eNews and WhatsApp and shared with community groups. All relevant information is posted on the project webpage.

In addition to online comments, staff will host five Zoom office hours throughout July for those seeking further clarification about the plan. These sessions will operate on a first-come-first-serve basis and require registration.

For more details or inquiries about disability accommodations or language services, individuals can contact José Delcid from the Department of Planning and Zoning or Lisa Chase for disability accommodations.
