On December 11, the City of Alexandria will adjust its trash collection schedule due to operational changes. The collection typically scheduled for Wednesday will occur on Thursday, December 12. Additionally, items usually collected on Thursday will be picked up on Friday, December 13.
Recycling, yard waste, and curbside composting services remain unaffected by this change. Collections scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will also proceed as planned.
Residents are advised that if their trash is not collected by the end of the day following their scheduled pickup, they can report a missed collection online or contact Alex 311 for assistance.
