The City of Alexandria is set to hold two pre-construction open houses concerning upcoming sanitary sewer construction projects. These events will address different areas within the neighborhoods of Old Town, Del Ray, and Rosemont. City staff will present an overview of the project, discuss plans to reduce construction-related impacts, and respond to questions from residents about what to expect during construction.

The first open house will focus on the sanitary sewer construction in the 300 and 400 blocks of North Alfred Street in Old Town. It is scheduled for Monday, January 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Sister Cities Conference Room at City Hall, located at 301 King Street. Attendees should enter through the Cameron Street entrance.

The public can also attend virtually via Zoom by registering through a provided link. More information on this project is available at alexandriava.gov/go/5324.

The second open house will address sanitary sewer construction at four locations in the Rosemont and Del Ray neighborhoods: the Unit and 100 blocks of East Maple Street, the 200 and 300 blocks of East Oak Street, the 500 block of East Alexandria Avenue, and the 300 block of Ashby Street. This event is planned for Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., also in the Sister Cities Conference Room at City Hall with access via Cameron Street.

Virtual attendance is possible via Zoom with prior registration through a specified link. Additional details on this project can be found at alexandriava.gov/go/5317.
