86 percent of applicants to DeVry University-Virginia were admitted for fall 2018

At DeVry University-Virginia, 87 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 59 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Arlington enrolled 374 students in fall 2018, including 188 in undergraduate and 186 in graduate programs, data shows. 30.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

33 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 67 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (41 percent) and white (30 percent).

The school admitted 86 percent of the seven students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 83 percent enrolled.
