Arlington County ranked first in Virginia for resident earnings in 2019

Arlington County ranked first among counties in Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Arlington County residents was $70,148 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 107,032 households with a population of 233,464.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Buchanan County with $17,764 per year after adjusting for inflation – $52,384 less than Arlington County. It had 8,569 households with a population of 21,788.
