Arlington County ranked first in Virginia for resident earnings in 2018

Arlington County ranked first among counties in Virginia by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Arlington County residents was $67,089 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 104,716 households with a population of 231,803.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Lee County with $17,136 per year after adjusting for inflation – $49,953 less than Arlington County. It had 9,149 households with a population of 24,134.
