The City of Alexandria is seeking input from the community regarding several projects aimed at improving transportation in the area. Specifically, the city is asking for feedback on the West Taylor Run intersection, Cambridge Road intersection, and Duke Street service road. The feedback form will be open until January 15th, allowing residents to have their voices heard and contribute to the decision-making process.
To facilitate community engagement, the city hosted a community meeting on December 14th. However, for those who were unable to attend the meeting, the city has made the presentation available for viewing online. By visiting the West Taylor Run Recorded Presentation and the Cambridge Road Intersection and Duke Street Service Road Presentation, residents can stay informed and understand the proposed changes in their neighborhood.
In an effort to keep residents updated on the progress of these projects, the city is encouraging interested individuals to sign up for the Duke Street Projects eNews. By doing so, residents can receive regular updates and be informed about any upcoming meetings or opportunities for further input.
The city is also committed to ensuring that all residents have equal access to these projects. Therefore, if any individuals require reasonable disability accommodation, they are encouraged to contact Daniel.scolese@alexandriava.gov or call 703.746.4266. Additionally, the Virginia Relay service is available at 711 for those who require assistance.
The City of Alexandria values the input and participation of its residents in shaping the future of transportation in the community. By providing feedback and staying informed, residents can contribute to the development of transportation solutions that best meet the needs of the city as a whole.
