Residents of Alexandria are invited to participate in the third series of community meetings concerning the City Hall and Market Square Renovation Project. The sessions aim to gather public input on refined design concepts and offer a preview of historical research related to the project.

The meetings will take place on Monday, December 9, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at City Hall, and on Thursday, December 12, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. virtually. Interested participants can register online for either session.

The city encourages residents to engage in shaping the future of these significant landmarks. "Together, let’s create a vibrant and inclusive space for everyone in Alexandria," reads an invitation to the event.

Additional information about the renovation project is available online. Residents can also subscribe to updates via the “City Hall Renovation” eNews topic or follow city social media channels.

For those requiring disability accommodations, Sylvie Emanuel can be contacted at Sylvie.Emanuel@alexandriava.gov or by calling 703.746.3227. Language interpretation services are offered through LanguageAccess@alexandriava.gov or by phone at 703.746.3960.

The announcement coincides with Alexandria's celebration of its 275th anniversary under the theme "Alexandria at 275: Connecting to our past to define a brighter future." The city has played a notable role since its founding in 1749 and continues its journey toward inclusivity.
