Police arrest two for Alexandria double shooting

Alexandria, VA - Alexandria Police have made arrests in connection with a double shooting incident that occurred at N. Fayette and Wythe Streets in late September. Two residents from Fairfax County have been taken into custody.

Fitzhugh Godwin, IV, aged 22, faces charges including two counts of malicious wounding and one count of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Marcus Elliott, aged 28, is charged with multiple offenses: two counts of malicious wounding, two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count of conspiracy to commit malicious wounding, one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle, and one count as a violent felon in possession of a firearm.

The arrests were made as part of the investigation into the nonfatal shooting on September 28 involving two juveniles who were inside a parked car on Wythe Street.
