Gadsby's Tavern Museum, located at 134 N. Royal Street, has temporarily closed due to a pipe burst that occurred on Thursday, January 23. The museum will remain closed from Friday, January 24 through Sunday, February 2. The Office of Historic Alexandria advises guests to monitor their social media channels and website for updates regarding the reopening.

Programs and tours scheduled during this period are being addressed by contacting attendees for cancellations or rescheduling options when possible. Notably, the Tavern Games Night program originally planned for January 31 at Gadsby's Tavern Museum will now take place at the Lloyd House, situated at 220 N Washington Street.

For those interested in exploring other museums and historic sites in Alexandria while Gadsby's is closed, a comprehensive list of locations and hours can be found at alexandriava.gov/Museums. Additionally, Historic Alexandria Museums offer free admission to City of Alexandria residents.

Further information about the Office of Historic Alexandria is available at alexandriava.gov/Historic.
