Rep. Don Beyer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 8th district, has been active on social media discussing various issues affecting his constituents and national security concerns. Born in Trieste in 1950, Beyer has served since 2015 after succeeding Jim Moran.

On March 24, 2025, Rep. Beyer tweeted about a recent meeting with local Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Office leaders. He stated, "Last week I met with our local Chambers of Commerce and Economic Development Office leaders to discuss collaborating to support our Northern Virginia workers and businesses during these difficult times for our area. More to come on that front soon."

Later that day, he criticized the Trump Administration for a significant national security breach. In his tweet at 18:22 UTC, he remarked, "The Trump Administration, which just committed one of the biggest and most incompetent national security breaches in history, is also giving Elon Musk and his team of unvetted lackeys access to every American's personal information."

Continuing his critique of the administration's handling of security matters, Beyer tweeted at 18:59 UTC calling for accountability. He expressed his concern by stating, "Heads must roll. This is one of the dumbest security breaches in history, and it suggests a larger pattern of potentially criminal behavior that puts Americans at risk."
