In a series of tweets, Representative Don Beyer expressed concerns over potential security breaches involving Signal chats by Trump Administration officials. The congressman called for investigations and accountability in addressing these issues.

On March 25, 2025, Rep. Don Beyer posted a tweet highlighting uncertainties surrounding Signal chats used by Trump officials on sensitive topics. He questioned the extent of possible security breaches and criticized the Trump Administration's stance, suggesting that "no one should assume this was an isolated incident."

In another tweet from the same date, Beyer emphasized the need for thorough investigations by relevant committees to uncover any additional breaches. He stated that "Republicans who fail to stand for their country in this moment will forever surrender all credibility on national security issues."

Further addressing the issue, Beyer advocated for reinstating Inspectors General at the Departments of Defense and State to investigate alongside the Intelligence Community IG. He noted that under normal circumstances, "The Justice Department and FBI would...investigate this incident and any other related" matters.
