The Alexandria Police Department is conducting an investigation into a homicide that took place on April 19 in Canterbury Square, Alexandria, Virginia. At approximately 10:15 p.m., police officers responded to a call and found a 19-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds in a parking lot located at 22 Canterbury Square. Officers initiated life-saving procedures until paramedics from the Alexandria Fire Department took over, but the individual did not survive.
The Office of the Medical Examiner will ascertain the specific cause and manner of the death.
Detectives from the Alexandria Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division collected evidence from the scene, canvassed the area, and interviewed local residents throughout the night. The investigation is still ongoing.
