Town of Bridgewater issued the following announcement on Feb. 5

Here is an updated list of churches that have shared with us information about prayer services this weekend:

• Bridgewater Church of the Brethren, ecumenical prayer gathering this evening at 6:00 p.m.
• Bridgewater United Methodist Church, Sunday morning worship and prayer services at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
• Crosslink Community Church is having a Bridgewater Community Prayer Vigil at the Turner Ashby High School Gym Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.

Also, we’ve learned that a memorial service for Officers J. J. Jefferson and John Painter will be held on Wednesday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the Atlantic Union Bank Center at JMU.
