The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), in coordination with Feedstuffs, has opened the application phase for its 2022 Liquid Feed Facility of the Year (FFY) program. The program is open to all AFIA member liquid feed facilities.
“We are excited to once again recognize liquid feed facilities that go above and beyond in safety, quality and food safety and production efficiency,” said Gary Huddleston, AFIA’s director of feed manufacturing and regulatory affairs. “We welcome members to put your best foot forward and show us what you are doing.”
The AFIA has been recognizing excellent feed manufacturing facilities since 1985. In 2016, the AFIA created four distinct manufacturing categories to be more inclusive of various industry facilities. The FFY program will continue by separating each category into its own individual program: liquid feed, commercial dry, premix and ingredient, and integrator. All participants will receive a benchmarking scorecard to assist them in their continuous improvement efforts.
The application phase for the Liquid Feed Facility of the Year is now open and submissions, with the $100 application fee, are due by May 13. The winning facility will be recognized this fall at the AFIA Liquid Feed Symposium (LFS) in New Orleans, La. The winning plant manager will receive overnight accommodations and a free registration to the symposium
