Rep. Don Beyer, representing Virginia's 8th district since 2015, shared his views on several critical issues on March 30, 2025, through his Twitter posts. Born in 1950 in Trieste, Beyer has been a member of Congress since succeeding Jim Moran. He resides in Alexandria and holds a BA from Williams College, obtained in 1972. His tweets reflect his position on fiscal policies and administrative actions under President Trump's leadership.

In a tweet dated March 30, 2025, Rep. Beyer expressed concerns about future economic implications, stating: "Donald Trump and Republicans are determined to let US debt soar beyond 200% of GDP by 2054 in order to finance tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. It would be a disaster."

On the same day, he highlighted his worries about the impact of the current administration's policies on the federal workforce and broader economy. He tweeted: "As the Musk-Trump Administration unleashes its illegal federal workforce purge, these attacks doesn’t just harm federal workers – they are destabilizing entire communities and our economy. Just awful. Americans deserve better."

Later, Beyer moved on to discuss trade policy and its economic ramifications under the Trump administration. Referencing the negative effects of tariffs, he stated: "As President Trump’s reckless tariffs actively harm our economy and American pocketbooks, Congress must reassert its authority over trade policy. Our legislation would do that."
