Scott Walter, in his book, “Arabella,” said the regular donors to the Arabella nonprofit pyramid structure are funding "a dizzying number of left-wing campaigns" crossing all topics of American politics and daily life.
Published in 2024, “Arabella" is about how large donations from political megadonors are concealed to hide how they are funding and directing political trends and groups in America.

Arabella’s top donors over the years run the gamut of major left-leaning foundations. They pour rivers of money into Arabella and its group of funds, and (except for those monies swallowed in management fees or mysteriously punted from one nonprofit to another) these rivers of liquidity are then used to irrigate a dizzying number of left-wing campaigns in areas like healthcare, abortion, voter registration, environmentalism, and opposition to conservative Supreme Court justices. Think of almost any left-wing position and Arabella money—usually a lot of it—can be found promoting it.

Walter is the president of Capital Research Center, a think tank that focuses on how large organizations spend their money. He previously served under the George W. Bush Administration as Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and a vice president for the Philanthropy Roundtable. He was also a senior fellow at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and a senior editor of AEI’s publication. Walter graduated from Georgetown and lives with his wife and four children in Virginia.
