This election season, the Gadsby’s Tavern Museum is offering a specialty tour titled “Hamilton’s BFFs & Frenemies,” inspired by the popular musical Hamilton. The tour will explore the connections between key historical figures such as George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Aaron Burr with Alexandria. Participants will learn about how these figures navigated their era's challenges and how their choices impacted local citizens.
The event is scheduled for November 1 and 2 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Gadsby’s Tavern Museum located at 134 N. Royal Street in Alexandria, VA. Tickets are priced at $15 per person or $12 for Historic Alexandria Members and can be purchased through alexandriava.gov/Historic.

Gadsby’s Tavern Museum has been a significant social and political hub since America began as a nation in the late 18th century. It was known for hosting balls, performances, and meetings attended by notable figures including George Washington. The museum is operated by the City of Alexandria.
The Office of Historic Alexandria manages eight museums and historic sites within the city to preserve its history through various programs and exhibits. Their mission includes enhancing residents' quality of life while supporting equity and inclusion initiatives.
