Starting in July, the public was invited to submit their best photographs capturing Alexandria from their perspective. With over 80 submissions received, the selection has been narrowed down to top entries in each category. Now, it is up to the public to decide the winners.

Voting is currently open and will remain so until Tuesday, November 19 at 11:59 p.m. Participants can cast their votes on alexandriava.gov/ALX275. The categories for this contest include Historical Landmarks, Community Life, Events and Celebrations, and Natural Beauty.

The winners will be announced during the Holiday Tree Lighting event on Saturday, November 23 at Market Square, starting at 6 p.m. The winning images will be showcased on social media platforms and the city’s website in the following week. Winners will also receive a goodie bag from ALX275 and will be contacted by a representative from the City of Alexandria’s Office of Communications and Community Engagement.

A note of appreciation goes out to everyone who submitted their photographs for this contest.
