The City of Alexandria is set to host an opening ceremony for North Potomac Yard Park on Saturday, October 19, 2024. The event will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. at the park located at 3601 University Drive. Mayor Justin Wilson and members of the City Council will be present for the dedication, which will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to occur on the North lawn/North arbor of the park, adjacent to the playground area. Attendees are advised that parking is limited on University Drive; however, additional parking is available in the JBG parking lot at 2900 Potomac Ave.
