Park and Recreation Commission schedules public hearing on Alexandria West Plan

The Park and Recreation Commission is set to conduct a public hearing on Thursday, June 20, at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place at Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School located at 1701 N Beauregard St. The focus of the hearing will be the proposed Alexandria West Open Space recommendations.

During the event, staff members are expected to provide a final update on the open space plan recommendations. Public comments will also be received by the commission. After the public hearing concludes, the Park and Recreation Commission plans to discuss and make decisions regarding the proposed recommendations.

For those unable to attend in person, written comments can be submitted until Tuesday, June 18. Comments should be sent via email to Jose Ayala at Jose.Ayala@alexandriava.gov.
