The Office of Historic Alexandria’s Division of African American History will hold an event at Market Square on June 19 featuring storytelling and music by the Washington Revels Jubilee Voices. This interactive concert aims to celebrate African American heritage and the quest for freedom and equality.

On June 22, the Charles Houston Recreation Center will dedicate a Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial bench as part of its Civil Rights Appreciation event. This will be followed by various Juneteenth activities including food vendors and performances.
Other upcoming events include the Outlandish Tour at Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum on June 23 and July 21, focusing on herbal medicines from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series. Gadsby’s Tavern Museum offers Family Day with Young Historians every Sunday through Labor Day weekend.
Additionally, Carlyle House Historic Park will host Yoga Happy Hours monthly from June to September as a fundraiser for new exhibit cases. A lecture by Catherine Weinraub about the history of Alexandria's fire department is scheduled for June 26 at the Alexandria History Museum at the Lyceum.
