This evening, Alexandria Police officers were called to the 5400 block of Duke Street to investigate a fatal accident involving a motorcyclist and a bus. The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.
As a result, Duke Street is closed from Paxton to South Walker Street in both directions. The APD Crash Reconstruction team is currently investigating the incident, and it is expected that the streets will remain closed for several hours.
