Effective April 1, the City of Alexandria Vehicle Impound Lot at 5249 Eisenhower Avenue will adjust its hours for a temporary period. The lot will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This change is part of a 90-day pilot program initiated by the Department of Transportation and Environmental Services. The goal is to assess whether modified hours can maintain efficient operations.
During this period, impound lot staff will assist with vehicle retrieval within the new operating hours. "Staff will closely monitor the pilot program," ensuring that operations run smoothly. After the 90 days, there will be an evaluation to determine if these changes could become permanent.
