Town of Dayton recently issued the following announcement.

Event: Joint Public Hearing with Dayton Town Council and Rockingham County Board of Supervisors

Event Date:  Wednesday, December 8, 2021 

Time: 6:00pm to 7:00pm

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors and the Town Council for the Town of Dayton will hold a Joint Public Hearing in the Rockingham County Administration Center on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, beginning at 6:00 PM or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, on the following item:

Boundary Line Adjustment Agreement between Rockingham County and the Town of Dayton: Pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-3106 et seq., an agreement to relocate or change the boundary line between Rockingham County and the Town of Dayton, so that a 0.570-acre portion of Tax Parcel 107-A-116, which 0.570 acres is adjacent to the Town’s water treatment plant, will be wholly contained within the Town of Dayton.

A copy of the proposed agreement, including a map showing the 0.570-acre portion of Tax Parcel 107-A-116, is on file for public inspection during normal business hours in the County Administrator’s Office, Rockingham County Government Center, 20 East Gay Street, Harrisonburg, Virginia 22802, and also in the office of the Clerk of the Dayton Town Council, 125-B Eastview Street, Dayton, Virginia 22821. Any person who wishes to speak on this item is invited to attend the hearing.
