The City of Alexandria's Department of Transportation and Environmental Services is set to conduct maintenance work on sidewalks, alleys, and over 561 lane miles of road. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to ensure infrastructure remains in good condition for pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and other users.

Residents and businesses on streets scheduled for repaving will receive advance notice through project signs or letters. Temporary "No Parking" signs will be placed before the commencement of work to prevent tickets and vehicle towing.

The schedule for street repaving may change due to various factors such as weather conditions, equipment availability, other city projects, and utility work coordination.

Asphalt repairs are planned for the week of August 12-18 on the 400 Block of North Armistead Street and the 400 Block of North Jordan Street. Additional information can be found at alexandriava.gov/go/2356. For inquiries or concerns, residents can use Alex311.
