The Alexandria Police Department is currently investigating the death of a man found outside Inova Alexandria Hospital. Officers responded to a report at approximately 3:03 a.m. about a man lying on the ground outside an entrance at 4320 Seminary Road. The individual was discovered with gunshot wounds and, despite lifesaving efforts by hospital staff, he succumbed to his injuries.
No related calls for service were received by the APD, but they continue to investigate the incident and its circumstances. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Office of the Medical Examiner.
Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating a vehicle believed to be involved in this case. The vehicle is described as a 2008 dark gray, 4-door Mercedes Benz C class with Virginia tag RX22K. Anyone who sees this vehicle is urged to call 911 and notify their local police department.
