Alexandria West invites public to open house for draft plan review

Community members, businesses, and organizations are invited to participate in the Alexandria West Plan Community Open House on Tuesday, June 25. The event will be held at Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School in Alexandria, Virginia. The venue is accessible via the free DASH Bus Route 35. Food, childcare, and language interpretation services in Spanish and Amharic will be provided.

The open house will start at 7 p.m., offering attendees a chance to review and inquire about the Draft Plan content boards. A brief presentation by staff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., covering the draft plan details and public comment process, followed by a question-and-answer session. A recording of this presentation will be made available on the project webpage.

After the meeting, the draft plan will be accessible online for community review and feedback until August 1. Information about this project can be found on its webpage along with background information, meeting materials, and a schedule of events. Updates are shared through eNews, WhatsApp, and community groups.
