All City of Alexandria government offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Various services and facilities will operate on modified schedules during this period.
The DASH bus service will maintain its regular schedule, while the free King Street Trolley will run every 15 minutes from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., daily.

On June 19, the General District Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, Court Service Unit, Circuit Court, and the Clerk of Circuit Court will not be open. Customers should verify the hours of their local DMV Select location as these may vary from state holiday schedules.
Emergency hotlines remain operational throughout the year without interruption. The Alexandria Health Department, Flora Krause Casey Health Center, and Teen Wellness Center at Alexandria City High School's King Street Campus and Minnie Howard Campus will also be closed on June 19.
The Alexandria Black History Museum and Freedom House Museum are exceptions among museums and will welcome visitors from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., while other museums follow their usual operating hours.
Alexandria Library branches are closed for the day as well.
Parking enforcement by the Alexandria Police Department will be relaxed for metered spaces and residential permit parking districts but will still apply to temporary no-parking signs and normally prohibited locations.
Warwick Pool, Old Town Pool, and Memorial Pool offer access between 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., whereas Charles Houston Recreation Center and Patrick Henry Recreation Center are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; all other recreation centers remain closed.
From June 19 to June 21, residential refuse and recycling collection typically scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday shifts by one day later than usual, though curbside food waste collection adheres to its normal timetable.
