Alexandria announces schedule for fiscal year 2025 budget presentations

City Manager James Parajon is set to present the City of Alexandria’s Fiscal Year 2025 Proposed Budget to the City Council on February 27 at 7 p.m. The presentation will take place at City Hall in the Council Chambers and will be available for streaming on the City's website.

In addition, Parajon will host a public presentation of the FY2025 Proposed Budget on February 29 at Charles E. Beatley, Jr. Central Library. This event offers residents an opportunity to learn about the proposal, ask questions, and understand the budget process.

For those unable to attend these presentations, several public hearings are scheduled where feedback can be provided:

- March 11: City Council Public Hearing

- March 16: City Council Public Hearing

- April 13: City Council Public Hearing Meeting

- April 24: Tax Rate Public Hearing

Residents can also submit their comments using the City's online Budget Input Form. These comments will be reviewed by both the City Manager and City Council and made available for public viewing.

Several work sessions are planned for those interested in learning more about the budget:

- February 28: City & ACPS CIP Budget Work Session #1

- March 6: FY2025 Budget Work Session #2 ACPS

- March 13: FY2025 Budget Work Session #3

- March 20: FY2025 Budget Work Session #4

- April 3: FY2025 Budget Work Session #5

- April 24: FY2025 Budget Work Session #6

- April 29: Final Add/Delete Work Session
