Trash, recycling, and yard waste collection in Alexandria will be postponed due to adverse weather conditions. Originally scheduled for Monday, January 6, the collection will now occur one day later than planned to allow for snow and ice removal. The Household Hazardous Waste Electronic Collection Drop-off Center will also remain closed because of the weather.
The adjusted schedule for the week of January 6-10 is as follows:
- Monday's collection will take place on Tuesday.
- Tuesday's collection will shift to Wednesday.
- Wednesday's collection will move to Thursday.
- Thursday's collection will occur on Friday.
Residents who do not have their trash, recycling, or yard waste collected on the rescheduled day can report a missed collection online or by contacting Alex 311.
