The City of Alexandria and Alexandria Library are hosting a series of workshops this January to educate residents on home energy savings and comfort. These sessions will include practical demonstrations of tools available at the Alexandria Library that can assist in enhancing energy efficiency at home. Participants will also learn about steps that can lead to recognition as an Eco-City Home.

"While you’re there, sign the Eco-City Pledge and take home some free and easy-to-use materials that can reduce your heating bill while making your home energy efficient!" reads the invitation from the organizers.

Attendance does not require prior registration, although it is appreciated. Details for each workshop session, along with registration information, are provided on the respective event pages for local libraries:

- James M. Duncan Jr. Branch: Wednesday, January 15, 5:30-7 p.m.

- Ellen Coolidge Burke Branch: Wednesday, January 22, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

- Kate Waller Barrett Branch: Monday, January 27, 6-7:30 p.m.

- Charles E. Beatley Jr. Central Branch: Wednesday, January 29, 6-7:30 p.m.
