Alexandria police arrest rideshare driver in sexual battery case

On July 28, 2024, the Alexandria Police Department apprehended Ahmed Reshad Nasseri, a 33-year-old from Alexandria. Nasseri faces charges of aggravated sexual battery linked to an incident on July 19, 2024, on Seminary Road. At the time of the incident, Nasseri was employed as a rideshare driver and the victim was his passenger.

The police department is seeking assistance from anyone who might have witnessed suspicious activity in the area. Individuals with information are encouraged to contact APD Detective Abigail Fillinger at 703-746-6677 or use the non-emergency number at 703-746-4444. Anonymity for callers is assured.

This case remains under active investigation.
