In a tweet posted on March 29, 2025, at 21:45 UTC, Beyer criticized proposed cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Research and Development. He mentioned, "The EPA’s Office of Research and Development conducts significant research to protect Americans, ensuring our water is safe to drink and our air is safe to breathe. Putting this work on the chopping block is illegal and would have devastating consequences for public health."
On March 29, 2025, at 22:00 UTC, Beyer addressed recent vetoes by Governor Youngkin. He declared, "Governor Youngkin vetoed legislation that would have ensured Virginians can access affordable medicine, can take paid sick leave, and be paid a living wage. These vetoes are a disgrace to working Virginians – and frankly, they deserve better."
In a subsequent post dated March 30, 2025, at 13:10 UTC, Beyer criticized the impact of Donald Trump’s trade policies. He tweeted, "Donald Trump’s ill-conceived auto tariffs are devastating carmakers across America. Except for one: Elon Musk’s Tesla. This kind of corruption is beyond the pale. Working Americans lose while the rich get richer."
