Originally from Trieste, Beyer was born in 1950 and is an alumnus of Williams College. In his tweets, he critically comments on actions he perceives as threats to Social Security.
On March 28, 2025, Beyer posted a tweet stating concerns about potential cuts to Social Security, mentioning, "Their crazy cuts to Social Security include threatening to entirely shut the agency down."
In another tweet on the same day, Beyer highlighted the perceived motives behind these actions, detailing, "What they really want - which Elon Musk keeps admitting out loud - is to 'eliminate' Social Security."
Later on March 28, Beyer referred to a succinct comment made by "friend Pete," suggesting a deliberate intention behind such moves, stating, "My friend Pete put it very succinctly. This is intentional."
