Alexandria Environmental Policy Commission set for August 1 meeting

The Alexandria Environmental Policy Commission (EPC) is scheduled to hold a meeting on Thursday, August 1, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The session will be conducted at the City Hall Council Work Room, with an option for virtual attendance.

During this meeting, the EPC will collaborate with the Environmental Action Plan (EAP) Subcommittee to explore opportunities for involvement and engagement in developing the EAP alongside the City Council. The agenda for this meeting will be accessible on the EPC website prior to the event.

The 13-member Commission provides advice and recommendations to various city bodies including the City Council, Planning Commission, and City Manager on issues concerning environmental conservation and protection. These issues encompass climate crisis management, air pollution control, land use planning, and water quality maintenance.
