Gadsby's Tavern Museum is set to host its Tavern Games Night on January 31 at 7 p.m. The event will be themed "Old Town Soul," focusing on Alexandria's Black history. Tickets are priced at $10 and can be purchased online.

Participants will engage in traditional tavern games, including a jeopardy game, with beverages available for purchase. The event will occur in the museum's historic second-floor ballroom at 134 N. Royal Street. Attendees should note that there is no elevator access due to the building's age.

Gadsby's Tavern Museum played a significant role during America's formative years as a social and political hub in Alexandria and Washington, D.C. It hosted numerous notable figures, including George Washington.

The museum is operated by the City of Alexandria and more information can be found on their website or by calling 703-746-4242.

The Office of Historic Alexandria oversees this initiative along with other historical programs in the city. They focus on storytelling to enhance community life and support equity initiatives. For further details, visit alexandriava.gov/Historic.
