The City of Alexandria is now accepting applications for its Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Arts Program Grant. This grant aims to support arts programs scheduled between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 28, 2025, at 5 p.m.

For over three decades, the city has been providing arts grants to local organizations, artists, and service providers to ensure that residents have access to quality arts experiences.

The Office of the Arts administers this program with assistance from a Grant Task Force. This task force consists of Arts Commissioners, arts administrators, and grant professionals who review and score applications. The available funding depends on the annual budget; hence applicants are advised to carefully examine the grant application and guidelines.

To aid interested applicants in preparing their submissions, the Office of the Arts will conduct free workshops and webinars. Attendance is mandatory for first-time applicants or those unfamiliar with the Foundant online grant program. Returning applicants are also encouraged to attend due to updates in the process.

The webinars will take place on Microsoft Teams on the following dates:

- Thursday, February 6 at 7 p.m.

- Tuesday, February 11 at 5 p.m.

- Thursday, February 13 at 2 p.m.

- Thursday, February 20 at 1 p.m.

- Tuesday, February 25 at 4 p.m.

Participants should download Microsoft Teams beforehand. To receive a webinar link, email arts@alexandriava.gov with your preferred date and time along with your name and email address.
