His tweets address the relationship between research institutions and the federal government, tax enforcement, and staffing concerns at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

On February 15, 2025, Rep. Beyer highlighted the longstanding partnership between American research institutions and the federal government, emphasizing its role in scientific and technological advancement. He stated: “For 80 years the great research institutions of America have enjoyed a special relationship with the federal government, one that has powered scientific and technological innovation and made the nation’s universities a magnet for the world’s most brilliant scientists and…”

Later that day, Beyer commented on potential impacts during tax season, cautioning against measures that could affect customer service negatively. He warned: "This would seriously harm customer service for the American people, and it wouldn’t save money — it would reduce revenues from tax enforcement on the wealthy, potentially costing billions of dollars."

On February 17, 2025, Beyer expressed concern over reported mass firings within the FAA amidst existing staffing challenges. Criticizing recent actions by Musk and Trump following a significant aviation incident, he remarked: "Mass firings of FAA workers - at a time when they already have serious staffing problems - would be dangerous at any time. Musk and Trump doing this weeks after the deadliest crash in years is stupid beyond belief."
