The City of Alexandria is organizing two hybrid community meetings to discuss the potential regulation of gas-powered leaf blowers. These sessions aim to provide an overview of the proposed regulation, its expected impact, and the timeline for implementation. City staff will also address questions from residents.

The initiative seeks to mitigate noise and air pollution in response to concerns raised by residents.

The first meeting will be held at Patrick Henry Recreation Center on Thursday, March 13, at 7:00 p.m. This session will focus on the general community's perspective on regulating gas-powered leaf blowers. Interested individuals can attend virtually by registering online with a passcode provided.

A second meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, at City Hall Sister Cities Room 1101, also starting at 7:00 p.m. This session will delve deeper into how these regulations could affect landscape companies and large property owners. Virtual attendance requires registration with a different passcode.

Both meetings are open to all residents and business owners who wish to participate. Further details and Zoom links can be found on the City Noise Control website.
