On March 21, 2025, Rep. Beyer highlighted the challenges faced by military spouses due to frequent relocations. He announced his introduction of bipartisan legislation aimed at addressing employment hurdles for these individuals in collaboration with colleagues Mike Kelly, Judge Carter, and Jimmy Panetta. "My mom was a military spouse, so I know partners of active-duty servicemembers face particular challenges, including relocating their families long distances. Later that day, Beyer expressed concern over a proposed reduction in the federal workforce. He noted the significant economic impact this could have on Virginia, estimating a loss of 39,000 jobs and nearly $250 million in state tax revenue, potentially leading to a recession in the state. In another post on March 21st, Rep. Beyer addressed air safety following an air collision incident on January 29th. With the preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released, he urged Secretary Duffy and the Department of Transportation to implement further measures to enhance air safety in the region.
